I majored in Horticulture and did research on tropical crops, such as bananas and bitter melongs, at the National Taiwan University. I then moved to the US to study bioinformatics at the University of Georgia, where I worked on the gene duplications and de novo genes in Populus.
Outside of school, I enjoy working on side projects and making new friends at the same time. For example, my friends and I built nutrigenomic tools and bird trackers at HATCH, and creative writing gadget at the Bolt vibe coding hackathon. I also like to apply technologies to enrich the experience of the community, such as building a mentor dashboard and blockchain-based attendance system for Taiwanese young researchers association.
